Of Sonia Choquette, Angels and Spirit Guides

Reading about Angels has always fascinated the child in me. It was therefore, not out of place, that my friend Gita lent me a wonderful book loaded with information about them, written by Sonia Choquette titled ASK YOUR GUIDES. After reading Doreen Virtue's book Healing With Angels, this is one more book that reaffirms one's faith that angels can work for you, if you will only allow them to.

Reading it was going journeying back to a wonderful world that I realized I had left behind in my childhood. Having studied in a Convent school, angels have always been a familiar aspect of life, someone you were taught to call on or to pray to and ask for help when the need arose. But as one grows up and begins to face the adult world, it is easy to lose touch with the inner child and discover that the child-like innocent faith gets fainter and fainter being replaced by doubts that come from the ego.

Sonia Choquette has given wonderful tips about getting in touch with ones guides, healer guides, helper guides, runners, archangels, the ministry and light beings and many more, all of whom as I see them are forms of fine, positive energy that our visualization may give a human form. I do believe that God created angels to help us humans to realize and stay in touch with our spirit nature. But one thought that keeps coming to my mind is that as more and more infinitely good, realized souls traversed the earth, they created more such energy forms by sheer dint of their good thoughts. These thought forms eventually took on an angelic appearance to guide us humans. Apart from angels who have never had an earthly existence, there are realized beings no longer incarnate, acting as our spirit guides helping us to experience the physical world, while helping us to remember that we are truly only spirit.

Reading the book one realizes how really easy it is to make contact with these wonderful creatures that God created specially for us to make existence on this planet smoother, to better guide our spiritual evolution. Beginning with simple experiments like finding parking spaces when out, crossing a crowded street in peak traffic hours, working or meditating undisturbed without the phone ringing reaffirmed my faith in the angelic world. All that one needs to do is to only ask and then forget allowing the angels to do their job and thank them for it. Calling on angels also reminds us how really important it is to remain in an attitude of gratitude always and thank God and the Universe for the infinite blessings we have received and continue to receive.

A positive thought when sent forth with faith works because it is not shrouded in layers of doubt. Invoking angels is exactly the same thing. It is like putting a positive thought form into the Universe and then allowing the Universe (read Angels) to do the job, while you forget it and firmly believe with full faith that it will manifest. All good things work and so do all good thoughts that are for the greatest good of our own selves and others. It is only a matter of faith and patience that are called for to see them manifest.

Thank you Gita for being a 'teacher guide' and introducing Sonia Choquette.

The following is a prayer from the book which I recalled having learnt in school.

Angel of God, guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this day, be at my side,
To light, to guard, to rule and guide.

Learning to work with angels one does begin to realize that life can be really 'charmed' as Sonia Choquette rightly says, ' It is our birthright to expect a charmed and blessed life'.

Body Talk

A month ago some of us a VIBES decided to learn a new healing modality called Body Talk evolved by Dr. John. Veltheim .
Dr.Suresh Dagur of Pune, who is an expert in the field came done and conducted an intensive four-day session after a very interesting introductory lecture on the subject which was well-attended.

Body Talk is a wonderful modality that aims at balancing the communications systems in the body through understanding the mind-body as a whole and tapping into its innate wisdom to restore any disruptions. It is based on Vedic energy systems and Chinese meridians. Tapping the cortices is a wonderful technique that can be used by one an all on a daily basis. Dr. Dagur demonstrated this at the introductory lecture. Watch the procedure at http://www.bodytalkhealthcare.com/documents/tapping_out_the_cortices.pdf and http://www.bodytalksystems.com/videos/

The four-day workshop was wonderful and we gained a lot from learning modules 1 & 2. Now it is all a matter of practice and study of the protocol to make it 'second nature'.

Experimenting between ourselves we have as a group gained a good deal from practicing on each other. Thanks to Dr. John Veltheim who has evolved this balancing technique and to Dr. Suresh Dagur for bringing it to us.
